Chemical Peels
Our customized peels exfoliate and renew your skin by removing dead cells and speeding up cell turnover, whether you want to treat acne, dark spots, fine lines or dull texture.
VI Peel (advanced) · $299
A medical-grade, medium-depth peel that reaches deeper than a light peel. Its blend of active ingredients improves tone and texture, reduces acne, scars and pigmentation, and softens fine lines, with visible results after one session.
Light peel · $99
Gentle exfoliating acids remove the outer layer of dead skin for fresher, smoother skin with little to no downtime and no visible peeling. Great every 2–4 weeks or as part of a facial.
What it helps with
In three steps
A solution is applied
A blend chosen for your skin is applied in thin layers. It loosens the bonds holding dull, damaged cells onto the surface.
The old surface lifts away
Over the following days those cells shed, taking pigment, congestion and roughness with them. A light peel may not visibly flake at all.
Fresh skin comes through
The skin underneath is newer, more even and more reflective, and cell turnover stays faster for weeks afterwards.
The honest detail
Peels are the most misunderstood treatment we offer. People either expect nothing or expect their whole face to come off. The truth sits in between and depends entirely on which peel you have.
What the session actually feels like
Cleansing, then the solution in thin layers. You will feel warmth building to a definite tingle or sting, strongest in the first minute of each layer, with a fan for comfort. The whole thing takes twenty to thirty minutes. Our lighter peels feel like a strong tingle; the advanced peel is more assertive. Every peel is timed and neutralized here in the room, never left on longer for a stronger effect.
What the days afterwards look like
A light peel may leave you slightly pink for an hour and flake barely at all. The advanced peel is different: tight and shiny for two days, then visible peeling from day three through day five or six, heaviest around the nose and mouth. Do not help it along. Pulling at peeling skin is how people end up with marks.
What results actually look like
Tone is where peels excel: brown patches from sun or pregnancy, post-acne marks, general dullness. Skin looks clearer and more even, and makeup sits better. Texture and fine lines improve too, but more gradually. One peel makes a visible difference; a course of three to six, four weeks apart, is what actually changes pigmentation.
Peels and melasma
Melasma responds to peels but it is also easily provoked by them, and by heat and sun. If you have it we will start gentler than you might expect, usually with a preparation routine for a few weeks beforehand, and we will be honest that melasma is managed rather than cured. Anyone promising to clear it in one session does not understand it.
Where peels sit alongside facials
A facial cleans, hydrates and maintains. A peel resurfaces and corrects. Most people who are serious about their skin end up doing facials monthly and a short course of peels once or twice a year, and that combination costs less and works better than chasing one expensive treatment.

What happens afterwards
Careful, every time
Peels range from very light to quite active, and the strength is a decision, not a default. We would rather build you up over a few gentle sessions than push your skin too far in one.
How we keep you safe
- Free consultation, where we choose a strength for your skin rather than a standard formula
- We start lighter on a first visit and increase only if your skin responded well
- A pre-treatment plan is given where pigmentation is a risk, particularly with melasma
- The solution is neutralized and timed precisely, never left on longer for a stronger effect
- Deeper skin tones are treated with gentler formulations to protect against pigment change
- Written aftercare and a follow-up check after your first peel
This may not be right for you if
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding, for our stronger peels
- You have an active cold sore, infection or open wound in the area
- You have taken isotretinoin (Accutane) in the last 6 months
- You have sunburn or a recent tan
- You have used retinoids, acids or waxed the area in the last week
- You have a known allergy to aspirin or salicylates, for some formulations
Please tell us about
- Whether you get cold sores
- Any history of melasma or pigmentation problems
- Every active skincare product you use, including retinol
- Any allergy, particularly to aspirin
- If you have a significant event coming up in the next two weeks
This page is general information, not medical advice. Every treatment at Permaskin begins with a free consultation, where we review your health history and tell you honestly whether this is the right choice for you. Individual results vary.
Good to know
Do peels hurt?
You may feel a mild tingle or warmth for a short time. We match the strength to your comfort and skin.
Will my skin peel?
Light flaking is normal with stronger peels. Not every peel causes visible peeling, and you still get great results.
When will I see results?
Brighter, smoother skin within a few days. Pigment or scarring may need a series.
How often?
Light peels every 2–4 weeks; stronger peels further apart.
Suitable for every skin tone?
Yes. We assess your skin first and choose the right formula and strength, including for deeper skin tones.
Can I wear makeup after?
Wait 24–48 hours, then return to your routine with moisturizer and SPF.
